- In 1995 he took his teaching skills abroad and took part in a teaching exchange in Holland
- Stephen then moved to the UK in 1996 to pursue his passion for eventing, initially funding this dream by working as a PE teacher at Stowe School in Buckingham
- He started to make his way into the UK equestrian industry by working part time in hunting stables, and on stud farms
- Stephen then started riding and competing for well known event rider Andrea Morris in 1998
- He then followed this up with 12 months working with Nicky Ryan
- With a wealth of experience behind him Stephen then moved to his current yard in Marlborough where he works with his mentor and principle owner David Hamilton
- David Hamilton is best known for show jumping and together they form a very professional and dedicated team, who do things the right way.....The Eventing Way!
- Stephen's achievements across the past 7 years have been numerous but a personal highlight for him was being ranked 78th and 87th on BE's Top 100 Riders list
